Rublev Oil on Canvas framed to Guild Of Framers Museum Standard. 50”x73” approximately including frame size.

Dreams of Tomorrow depicts a sleeping woman curled upon pale bed linen, her head resting against her folded arms. Viewed from above, the figure forms an enclosing curve within the restless folds of fabric. Her posture suggests the unguarded intimacy of sleep, while the title opens this private moment towards the possibilities of an unseen future.

The composition moves between the softly modelled flesh and the angular rhythms of the surrounding cloth. Rose, ivory, and cool grey establish a luminous harmony, with the darker hair providing a concentrated point of contrast. The folds carry the eye around the figure, alternately revealing and sheltering her within the painted surface.

Executed in Rublev oils, the work gives particular attention to the expressive possibilities of white. The linen gathers reflected colour into its creases and planes, becoming an active part of the composition. Broken strokes and passages of thicker paint lend movement to the fabric, setting the stillness of the sleeper against the energy of the handling.

The subject invites reflection on the vulnerability and renewal implicit in rest. Sleep suspends the demands of the present, leaving a space in which hope, memory, and imagination may mingle. The painting preserves that uncertainty: the dream remains inaccessible, but the resting figure gives it a human presence.
